  Massive Geomagnetic Storm Threatens Earth, Northern Lights Visible For Michigan The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a rare, strong geomagnetic storm watch set to hit the Earth beginning on Friday, likely bringing about widely dispersed disturbances to power grids, spacecraft systems as well as radio communications.
